Welcome to the Alliance of Queer & Ally Students' website!
The Alliance of Queer & Ally Students has existed at Michigan State University for over 40 years as the LBGT and ally voice in the Associated Students of MSU (ASMSU), MSU's undergraduate student government. Originally named the Gay Liberation Movement (GLM), the Alliance is governed by ASMSU and funded by ASMSU tax dollars.
In addition to holding seats in ASMSU's Academic Assembly, Student Assembly, and Programming Board, the Alliance also sits on the General Assembly of the Residence Halls Association (RHA).

Our Mission
The purpose of the Alliance shall be to advocate for and assist in the maintenance of the equality of all groups of students at Michigan State University that are discriminated against on the basis of gender identity and/or sexual orientation.
We recognize and believe that all forms of oppression are connected and act as barriers to personal and academic success, and are committed to working with other student groups to fight oppression in any form. Our mission is to engage in projects and educational endeavors that will expand the horizons of social, legal economic, and sexual equality for these students at Michigan State University.
